I bought the grommets for running my wing conduit from Van's, and used
nylon tubing from Home Depot for the conduit... |
The tubing is a tight fit, so I don't think it will move around much... |
Finished the longer aileron control tubes... |
Left outside aileron mount bracket installed... |
Right inside aileron mount bracket installed... |
Ready to mount the aileron gap seal and aileron... |
Gap seal drilled and clecoed to rear spar... |
Gap seal drilled and clecoed... |
Finished left wing gap seal... Since this picture I
have finished the right wing aileron gap seal and mounted the aileron... |
I'm up to my nuts in nutplates! |
I neglected to countersink the tank mount holes on the top
of the spar before I installed the top skins, so I will have to make
something to help hold the countersink cage level while I do them... |
As of July 9, I have all the nutplates done on the
wings... I HOPE! |
Passenger fresh air vent installation... I used a
marker to outline where the vent will go on the inside of the skin... |
Then marked where to drill, and drilled the vent inlet... |
Then lined up the inlet with the markings I made on the skin
and match drilled it to the skin... |
I will use flush rivets and pro-seal to complete the
installation... |
While looking at my wings the other day I noticed that
maybe, on a hot day, my wiring conduit may "sag"... And if
it does, it will sag right on my aileron pushrod... NOTE: Make sure
you put your conduit UNDER your aileron pushrod... |
So, I made some little brackets that will hold up the
conduit... |
One rivet in the wing skin for mounting... |
And, I will be able to inspect the brackets very easily... |
