Stiffeners clecoed in... |
I followed the G/O video for making my fuel pickup tubes... |
It mashed down pretty good... |
I am not too sure about this yet... It looks like it will work ok,
but I am wondering if the vibration of flight will break any of these
loose... |

Access plate installed with fuel fitting, vent tube fitting, and fuel
sender installed... |

Fuel tank attach bracket... |

fuel sender installed... |

Fuel pickup tube installed... |
Started drilling the right tank... |
Right tank almost ready for assembly... Need to dimple the skin,
install sender and fuel pickup... |
While I was finishing up all the nutplates on the spar for the tank
attachment, I noticed that I did not countersink the screw holes before I
installed the top skins... |
...so I made a little skin to help. It worked like a
charm... I used a #6 countersink. The pilot fits perfectly
into the nutplate... |
...I ended up with real nice countersinks... |
These are the little brackets used to hold the vent line in place in the
gas tank... |
I made mine a little bigger than the plans show, it was just easier... |
Well, here we go... I finally broke down and mixed up some
Pro-Seal. It's really not that bad. I used the measuring spoon
method. 1/4 teaspoon of the black stuff, to 1 tablespoon of the
white stuff works good... |
I actually liked working with the Pro-Seal... |
All the stiffeners on the right tank are done... |
Gas cap flange in place with vent tube bracket installed. |
This part was pretty easy to do... |
