| 9.26.99 - Started on the HS. deburred edges of HS skins and HS rear spar webs. Clecoed rear spar webs to skins and match drilled to size. Removed skins. Deburred and dimpled holes in HS rear spar webs. | |
| 9.28.99 - Finished clecoing the rear HS spar together and match drilling all holes. Marked parts positions and disassembled rear spar. Started fabricating the HS-810 HS-814 splice angles... | |
| 9.29.99 - Continued fabricating the HS-810 HS-814 splice angles... | |
| 9.30.99 - Continued on the HS-810 HS-814 splice angles. Trimmed the HS-602 spar web inboard ends to accommodate the splice angles. Match drilled front spar webs to splice angles (inboard portion), bent splice angles and web tongues to 6 degrees, and then finished match drilling spar webs to splice angles. Deburred splice angles & spar web. | |
| 10.1.99 - Finished drilling, dimpling, and countersinking for riveting front spar together. Started priming rear HS spar parts. I am using Sherwin Williams 988 self-etching primer... | |

10.2.99 - Deburred & fluted HS ribs and Finished priming HS parts. I used an aluminum rule that I have along with a Bic marking pen to mark center lines on all of the ribs, and spar webs (pictures below)... Riveted front and rear HS spars together. Matched drilled the 5 ribs between the front and rear spars to the rear spar, and then deburred. Mounted HS skeleton to the jig. |
