I finished installing the vent lines. The smaller 1/4"
tubing is much easier to bend than the 1/2" fuel lines. I did
a lot of the bending by hand... |
 |
 |
I ended up just leaving some extra vent line out the
bottom, as I haven't decided what I am going to do here yet... |
 |
Braided brake lines installed. I had to remove the rudder pedal
assembly to get the fittings installed. Also, Van's didn't send me
the Adel clamps I need to clamp the plastic lines to the steel lines,
good thing I ordered some. I get them at http://tiewraps.com |

Here is the front of the fittings to the brake system, and to the
right is the reservoir installed on the firewall... |
 |
 |
Brake lines going in... I found this to be much easier than I
expected, I guess I had gotten the hang of bending this stuff... |
 |
 |
Brake lines are done now. I think I will shorten the left line
in the picture at left to make it look more uniform although it will
make no difference functionally... |
 |
 |
I finally decided to install my forward fuse NACA vents... |
 |
 |
I used an RTV to seal them to the fuse, and will back rivet them on as
soon as it sets up good... |

Here is then battery I bought from
Battery
Specialists. It's an Odyssey PC625 Drycell battery, I paid
$73.95 (free shipping)... You can see the specs on this and other
Odyssey batteries HERE
and HERE...
Since the battery is much smaller than normal, I had to modify the
battery tray slightly... |

I got my strobe setup from Whelen the other day and here is my mount.
It is simply a piece of .063 AL that I cut to the same size as the
bottom of the strobe power supply, riveted it to the floor ribs, and
then use nut plates to screw the PS down to it... |
