Here you can see my fuel pump drain setup... |
 |
 |
Completed alternator installation. I got the
alternator from a local auto parts store... You can also see how I
tied the bottom of the baffles together. I used left over hinge pin
material... |

Here's the carb heat muff I got from Rick Robbins of
Ribbins' Wings... He makes a quality product. I also have his
cabin heat muff...
You can contact Rick at 303-422-9389 |

When installing the prop I was about 3/16"
out on the track, but was able to get it to within 1/32 using paper as
shims between the prop and prop extension...
The FWF is essentially done... All I have to do it safety the
prop...
I have not run the engine, but I have spun it a few times to keep get the
juices flowing... |
 |
Today I fired up the engine for the first time...
It took about 5 seconds to the fuel lines all primed with the boost pump,
a quick prime to the front two cyls, then about a second on the starter is
all it took to fire... |

Everything was in the green and NO LEAKS! We only
came up a few minor squawks... Tach seemed to be off quite a bit on
the low side, MAP was off by about half, I need to re-route the top plug
wires, and the exhaust was hitting the engine mount on the right side...
All in all, it was worth a great big RV grin in my book! |
