I started to install the rear and forward
canopy rails... |
I actually cut my canopy rails too short and had to order some new
ones, they should be here in a few days... |
I finished tweaking the canopy frame to fit the fuse
and rollover bar... |
Once I had the side rails where I wanted them, and made
sure they were the same distance apart at the front as in the rear, the
frame slid like a knife through butta... |
After fighting with my air compressor for a while, I
decided there had to be a better way to cut the canopy... I
decided to try my Dremel, and it worked like a dream. I used the
extension and a stone cutoff wheel... I did the entire canopy with
2 wheels... |
The canopy is cut and the fitting begins. I had
to do a lot of tweaking on the frame to get the canopy to fit
right. I also had to grind some material off the frame where the
sliders fit to drop the front of the frame more... |
I may have cut a hair too much off the back, I would recommend
not cutting any off the back until you absolutely have to... You
can see al the scrap generated by the canopy cutting. That plastic
crap gets all over you too... |
Windshield cut and ready to install... I still
need to do some trimming at the bottom sides for it to fit around the
rollover bar... |
After a week off, I got back to the canopy. I managed to
finishing drilling the canopy to the frame... |
I used a sharpie to mark all the hole locations on the canopy frame.
I got the blue masking tape at Wal-Mart... |
